The copyright and reuse framework of International Journal of Islamic Education Discourse must be read together with its Open Access Policy and the licensing notice of each published article. A sampled article PDF displays Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-SA 4.0); the journal's approved policy for all current and future articles is (...).
Copyright Ownership and First Publication
The copyright holder of accepted and published manuscripts is (...). The authors' and journal's rights and obligations, including any non-exclusive first-publication permission or publication agreement, are (...).
These conditions should match the copyright holder and license data displayed on OJS article pages and publication documents.
Permitted Reuse Under CC BY-SA 4.0
Where an individual article is released under CC BY-SA 4.0, readers may reproduce, share, and adapt the covered material for lawful purposes, including commercial use, if the applicable attribution, license-link, and change-indication conditions are met.
Distribution of shared adaptations is subject to the license's ShareAlike requirements. The journal should not add restrictions prohibiting commercial reuse of material it distributes under CC BY-SA 4.0.
Self-Archiving and Third-Party Material
Author sharing of the published article should follow the specific article license. The journal's policy for preprints, accepted manuscripts, repository deposits, and attribution is (...).
Figures, datasets, quotations, trademarks, and other third-party material may have separate rights statements. Material not included in the Creative Commons license should be clearly identified in the article.
Historical Articles and Consistency Review
Updating a journal-wide policy does not automatically change the license attached to previously published articles. The journal should compare existing article PDFs and landing pages with OJS distribution settings and resolve inconsistencies through the responsible editorial or publisher authority.
The approver, effective date, and any article-specific exceptions for the finalized licensing policy are (...).
